Project: Documenting the Yazidi Genocide Project;  U.K. Pavilion of the London Design Biennale

Work: Investigative research and documentation, teaching workshop, exhibition curation
Location: London: Goldsmith’s, Somerset House; Istanbul

+ Research and analysis of spatial evidence through the application of new technologies and methodologies in a fieldwork, workshop, and office project environment, alongside training researchers in DIY spatial surveying, mapping, and documentation techniques, to support the investigation of the genocide perpetrated by ISIL.

+ In collaboration with theV&A and Yazda, the international representative body for the Yazidi community. 

+ Heading Istanbul workshop to train methodologies of photogrammetry, aerial imaging, and QGIS mapping for spatial documentation, cartography, and legal advocacy.

+ Curating the project's work as an exhibition alongside the V&A as the U.K. Pavilion at the 2018 London Design Biennale at Somerset House.


Documenting the Yazidi Genocide’ has been exhibited at the European Center for Art Upper Bavaria, Germany, Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai, The National Museum of Contemporary Art, Lisbon, DDP, Seoul, La Triennale di Milano, Milan, UK Pavilion, London Design Biennale, Somerset House, London.

Project: Killing In Umm Al-Hiran analysis and Turner Prize nomination exhibition

Work: Research and analysis, graphic design, exhibition curation and installation

+ Aiding analysis towards the investigation of two killings occurring during the Janurary 2017 raid by armed Israeli forces of the demolition and deportation of one of many unrecognized Bedouin villages in the Negev desert following a decision made early 2000 to establish a Jewish settlement there. Research aimed to disprove the official narrative claiming the killing was a result of an ISIS terror attack.

+ Turner Prize nomination and exhibition at Tate Britain (September 2018). Developing graphic design for the exhibited model demonstrating the analysis of peoples’ movements along the site according to time. Aiding exhibition curation development and installation.
